TOKYO MEAT MARKET CO., Ltd. will celebrate the milestone of its 60th anniversary in September 2026. We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to all our stakeholders, including livestock producers and buyers, who have supported our market over the decades.
Our foremost mission is to serve as a vital bridge between producers and buyers, ensuring the formation of fair and reliable benchmark prices for meat across Japan, while securing a stable supply of livestock products to consumers in Tokyo. At a time when the entire meat industry is undergoing profound change—driven by logistics challenges and increasingly diverse consumer values toward meat—we recognize that our role must go beyond that of a conventional logistics hub. We aim to function as an “information platform” that accurately connects the commitment and craftsmanship of producers with the evolving needs of buyers.
Societal expectations regarding “food safety and security” are also rising and becoming more sophisticated every day. In response, we will further enhance our HACCP-based initiatives with a view to global standards, and develop highly transparent distribution systems by leveraging digital transformation (DX). Through these efforts, we will establish a new paradigm of safety and reliability that meets the demands of the times, and position our market as a trusted, enduring choice for partners both in Japan and overseas.
We regard this 60th anniversary as a “second founding” for our company.
Without being bound by past successes, we are determined to boldly pursue new challenges. We will continue to uphold strict compliance and corporate ethics, and will treat the steady accumulation of small, day-to-day improvements in our operations as a wellspring of innovation. With a strong sense of urgency and a firm commitment to reform, we will strive to maintain and develop a sustainable meat market.
To ensure that we continue to support Japan’s rich food culture in the decades to come, all our employees will work together as one. We sincerely ask for your continued support and partnership.
